After starting the business in 2014, Kay Armatage, founder of Alkamy created a handmade range of soy wax scented container candles, reed diffusers, floral water room sprays as well as organic vegan friendly lip balms and hand and body creams. This side of the business has now been put on hold after expanding to the service area of running candle making workshops and classes.
Kay holds regular monthly classes and workshops in Whitley Bay and Sedgefield, with ad-hoc events also held in North Shields. From 2020 there will also be regular classes in Darlington. Everything you need to make your very own soy wax candles, with or without fragrances, will be supplied - all materials, equipment and know how will be available to set you on your way to a new hobby! Perfect for beginners and children between the suggested ages of 8-16 years are welcome to accompany you.
I am able to offer workshops for parties and get togethers at your home or at a venue of your choosing within the North East area as well as working with charity organisations offering crafting activities for the benefit of their clients.
